The Little School-Tiburon

Our teachers are creative, diverse and nurturing individuals who love working with young children.  All of our teachers have studied early childhood education and have many years of experience. We encourage and fund ongoing classes and seminars at local colleges and other venues for our staff to attend. All of our staff are trained in CPR and First Aid.

Teacher Heather has been part of The Little School family for 17 years. She started with the Nursery class for her first five years, then discovered her love and passion for the Pre-K class. She has moved back to the Nursery Class and enjoys being at the foundation of these little one's educations. Heather has been the Director of the Tiburon campus for 7 years and has enjoyed learning the administrative side of the school while remaining in the classroom with her Nursery students. 

Teacher Heather received her BA in Humanities with a concentration in education from Dominican University of California. She has also studied Early Childhood Education at College of Marin and Laney College.

Director / Teacher

Teacher Sara has been part of The Little School family for over 13 years. Her expertise is with the Pre-K aged kiddos, but she has worked with children of all ages. Teacher Sara has been trained in a fun program called Zoophonics and loves to share her love for phonics and letter recognition with her students.

Sara has done most of her Early Childhood education training through College of Marin. She has worked at The Little School in Mill Valley as the Pre-K Teacher and has now joined our team at The Little School-Tiburon. She has over 17 years of teaching experience with preschool aged children.

Teacher

Teacher Buffie has been part of The Little School Family for 4 years. She took some time off to raise her own children after her son was born, but has returned to us to help with the Nursery and Preschool classes. Teacher Buffie was the Nursery Teacher for many years and has also worked at University of Play in Terra Linda.

Buffie has studied Early Childhood Education at College of Marin and loves working with the youngest students at our school.
